Roof Maintenance for Long-Lasting Performance
Roof maintenance is essential if you want your roof to last its expected lifespan. One misconception is that only commercial buildings need regular maintenance, but that’s not true. Both homes and businesses can benefit from regular maintenance of the roofing system.
Start With a Roofing Inspection
Before we can determine the proper maintenance plan for your roof, we need to perform a thorough inspection. A roofing inspection includes both an interior and exterior inspection. Some of the things we look at on your roof include signs of leaks, the overall condition of the roof, the flashing, ventilation, insulation and more.
Once we’ve completed the inspection, we’ll provide you with a written inspection report. Included in the inspection report are our recommendations for repair and general maintenance. Of course, while we’re on your roof, we’ll perform some maintenance like removing any debris, affixing lose shingles and applying sealant when included as part of your maintenance plan.
If this is the first time you’ve had a roofing inspection by AnyWeather Roofing, we’ll come up with a plan for maintenance based on the roof’s age, material and overall condition. We always recommend at least semi-annual maintenance checks, and more frequent checks as your roof ages.
Regular Roof Maintenance Benefits
As we like to say, “Take care of your roof and it will take care of you.” Your roof is your home’s first line of defense against the elements, so the biggest benefit of proper maintenance is that your roof will last as long as it should. Another benefit many home and business owners fail to consider is when a roof leak is spotted when it’s small, the cost of repair and the extent of the damage is much less. And of course, a well-maintained roof just looks better.
When you choose AnyWeather Roofing as your roof maintenance partner, you may even see increased energy efficiency in your home because the loss of conditioned air will be minimized.
